| Description: | Each chalet offers a walk-in shower/WC and wash basin in the en-suite bathroom, and a lounge area. They are all constructed of stone and brick, with bright red corrugated iron rooves, the stone walls and terracotta tiled floors. For cold nights, each unit has as an inviting fire-place to warm-up around. In the hotter, summer months, a private plunge pool invites you to refresh and relax. A small table and 2 chairs is provided on your private porch outside and a constant supply of hot water is provided in your chalet, should you desire a cup of tea/coffee. Breakfast, light lunches, afternoon tea and dinner are all served at the Plateau Lodge Dining Room. |

The lodge lies within the Waterberg Wilderness private nature reserve at the Waterberg. Each of the chalets is situated between red sandstone rocks in the midst of green bush, with total privacy guaranteed. The wide expanse of windows in the dining hall provides an almost wrap-around view of the stunning landscape around the lodge. The plunge pools at each chalet attract many birds and even small game and one can spend many peaceful hours enjoying the scenery. The lodge is eco-conscious and drinking water is supplied from a pristine spring on the farm. |
